Down the Rabbit Hole

This little Alice in Wonderland inspired self-portrait series was created, when I wanted to dive deep into a rather dark fantastical and surreal world. But unconsciously I also visualized how I felt over the last summer and so I took a deep jump into my inner world. So „Down the Rabbit Hole“ tells us how suddenly your world is changed. Something you didn’t see is coming into your life, maybe it was quite shocking, overwhelming. You’re falling into the unknown. After realizing your fall, you have to choose your new path now: do you really want to commit to that process and open that door? Or will you prefer to close it? What consequences are awaiting behind that door? After being brave and daring to make that step into that unknown world, things may not be that clear still. You’re still overwhelmed with everything. Old topics, new topics, everything at once and you may feel like being here, but somehow not. Cause you’re in so many worlds at the same time. You try to focus on yourself, reflect yourself. And you see all the versions you have been and and all the versions you could be, all just by choosing your next step. A confusing labyrinth of possibilities. Trust that process, you suddenly found yourself in, and you will find a way out of that labyrinth. The world may seem to be totally different now, everything feels different than before. But there are a lot of new and beautiful things to come.
