Photographer's Profile
Italy
Aurora Pispola is a self-portrait photographer specializing in photomanipulation born on July 9, 1998 in Perugia, Umbria, central Italy. In 2021 she graduated in Photography, Art Direction and Video at the NID-Nuovo Istituto Design in Perugia and after graduation she specialized in fine art photography. Aurora uses the self-portrait as a means for the inner analysis of one's being through surreal and post-produced images in an ancient and at times dark key as well as a channel for expressing one's opinion on issues of social importance by becoming the protagonist of her characters. Aurora Pispola often uses textures that deliberately "ruin" the image to recall the imperfection of the human being, visually referring to the natural deterioration of Renaissance paintings in today's time. For Aurora, the need to send a message is an urgent feeling. From the creation of self-portraits to embroidery, she uses her mind and her unconscious to tell herself to others. Aurora's mission is to ensure that the viewer recognizes himself in the work and asks himself questions from a different point of view, there is the need to tell his feelings and rights analogous to all humanity in which no one should feel alone or wrong, but rather understood and encouraged.
