With this stray cat I was able to bring out my soul: playing with the high lights and the different shades of the same color, I tried to convey the essence of an elderly (sixteen year old) and sick cat; his dignity, his baggage of experience of life as a stray for many years, his sweetness in being now a family cat. I deliberately avoided the use of flash, working on the histogram to minimize noise, taking advantage of the magnificent natural light coming from a window softened by curtains that outlined the cat's body giving it three-dimensionality.
