One afternoon in late October I decided to spontaneously go out trying to capture some final autumnal colours before they soon disappear and make way for winter. At first it didn't look very promising upon arrival but waiting patiently paid off and the sun reappeared. I love the contrast of the warm golden tones of the lit larches against the cold rocky and partially snow-covered mountain backdrop in this image.
