The title of this series plays with gender rules, even from the phonetic point of view: gender rules / gender roles. These pieces are a part of a larger series, that claims for equality and talks about gender issues from a powerful and fun visual approach. With a somewhat retro aesthetic that evokes the 50s and early 60s, a time famous for the vastly sexist content of its commercial messages, the photos turns it upside down and reappropriates that iconography.
