Take a second to think about what you are looking at. No really, take your time. Any idea? You are looking at a drone shot of the end of river Ölfusa, taken right next to the Flói Nature Reserve. I asked why this looks so absolutely incredible and was told, that, as the river flows, it simply carries sediments that sort of get stuck on the wavy ground. Note, I only have a small drone and Iceland is very windy. I probably should not have flown that day, but once I saw example shots from that spot, there was no way I was not going to try! The drone had to fight hard and I could only go about 300 m high, which was more than enough to see those awesome patterns, but once I got it I turned tail to make sure the thing didn't die over the water. A bit of adrenalin makes this photo a sweet memory!
