This is one of my favorite Woodpeckers ever, a Yellow-fronted Woodpecker. Despite they are quite common in Southern Brazil, I can never get enough of watching them. Due to their flexible diet of fruit, berries, insects or even seeds they can inhabit a broad range of habitats, even heavily degraded forests. Picture taken in Tapirai, São Paulo state, Brazil.
