Lots of hummingbird photos are published, often striking colours. I intentionally did not go this route here. What fascinated me with this Scale-throated Hermit is his pure elegance. Dressed in moderate colours, he is nevertheless a stunning beauty when looking at all details of his flight approach to the strongly-pink flower. Picture taken in Tapirai, Sao Paulo State, Brazil
