Dust and Trust

In Dust & Trust, I wanted to capture the kind of connection between horse and rider that does not need to be dramatic to feel powerful. This is a quieter moment—after the work, between movements, or simply during a pause in the landscape—but the relationship is still at the center of the image. The rider’s posture is relaxed and grounded, while the horse stands close, attentive, and calm. There is a sense of mutual awareness between them, built on time, patience, and trust. What drew me to this scene was the balance between strength and softness.
