A veiled sun hangs like an eye behind moving cloud, over a ridgeline of pine silhouettes — a presence that watches and is watched. I converted this five-frame series to monochrome to strip it to light and shadow alone, where the atmosphere becomes almost a character. Black and white removes the comfort of color and leaves the mood exposed. The series follows the sun disc as the cloud thins and thickens, a slow, weather-made drama.
