Water as a Scriptor: Citrinitas is a five-part photographic sequence in which water acts not merely as a subject, but as an image-making force. Condensation, rain, reflections and translucent surfaces transform windows into temporary fields of inscription. Lines appear, merge and disappear; architectural fragments remain partly visible behind them, while light turns moisture into a shifting script. The sequence begins with Inside and Out, where a yellow window frame emerges through a veil of water and separates interior from exterior without fully stabilising either space. In Light Script, illuminated traces appear against a darker, branch-like structure, suggesting writing that cannot be translated. Citrinitas, the central work, concentrates the series into a golden field in which water, light and surface become nearly indistinguishable. Light Window introduces a more bodily and granular texture, while Window Delta opens the sequence towards a broader, landscape-like image of flow, reflection and sediment. The title refers to citrinitas, the yellowing stage in alchemical transformation, traditionally associated with illumination and awakening. Here, golden light does not reveal a fixed truth. It activates surfaces and makes visible processes that remain unstable. Water writes, but its marks are temporary; glass receives them, but also reflects and conceals. Across the series, the window functions as membrane rather than boundary. It connects interior and exterior, material surface and imagined depth. The photographs retain recognisable fragments, yet repeatedly move towards abstraction. What is recorded is not a single place, but the moment in which water reorganises perception and briefly becomes its own form of language.
