Portraits of Her This portrait is part of Portraits of Her, an ongoing project celebrating the women who make the Coachella Valley a stronger, kinder, and more vibrant community. I came to the United States from Ukraine in 2022 to rebuild my life. Along the way, I met extraordinary women whose strength, generosity, and resilience inspired me. Creating this project became my way of giving something back to the community that welcomed me. I believe every woman carries her own light. Before every portrait, we spend time talking and sharing stories. My goal is not just to photograph a face, but to capture the person behind it. This portrait is a tribute to the quiet beauty, kindness, and strength that women bring to the world every day.
