On a quiet February morning in Kushiro, nearly twenty whooper swans soared through a mountain pass before the sunlight grew strong. I attempted to pan with the flock using a slow shutter speed (1/4 sec), but the motion sync didn’t go as planned. Instead, the result became an abstract rendering of light and rhythm. Blue hues reflected from the sky onto the shaded slope, contrasting with the soft browns of the winter forest - revealing a fleeting moment where movement, shadow, and form painted a scene beyond reality.
