In Kenya’s Laikipia Wilderness, a rare black leopard emerged like a shadow across the golden savanna, carrying its freshly taken prey. Long hidden by dense grass, this elusive predator revealed itself in a fleeting moment of raw survival. To convey not just the animal but the sensation of motion—the quiet intensity of the hunt—I used a slow shutter speed of 1/10 second, panning with its stride. The result transforms the landscape into flowing streaks of light and color, while preserving the leopard’s piercing eye and ghostlike form.
