1. Congratulations on winning in the European Photography Awards! Can you share a little about yourself, what inspired you to pursue photography, and how has your journey evolved since your first shot?
Thank you very much! I'm a photographer based in New York City. My photography career took me all over the country and the world, which is one of the best perks, and I also met many people throughout my career.
2. Can you share the story or inspiration behind your award-winning piece? How does winning this award make you feel about your journey in photography?
It was amazing, as the Basilica de Notre Dame is one of the most beautiful and special places in France.
3. How do you decide which photo to submit for a competition?
I selected this photo based on the uniqueness of the space as well as my desire to share it with the world!
4. What first made you pick up a camera?
What first made me pick up a camera was the feeling that I wanted to cherish every moment forever.
5. If someone looked at your work, what’s the one thing you’d want them to feel?
I'm a very realistic photographer and for that reason, I want my viewer to connect to it from their own perspective.
6. Is there a specific place or subject that inspires you the most?
France and the French people definitely inspire me. Also, Spain and its history.
7. What message would you share to inspire photographers to participate in photography awards, and what advice would you give to help them excel in the competition?
My message to inspiring photographers is to show your uniqueness and individuality. Expose the audience to new sights or visions, and you'll have found the way to capture their attention.
8. What’s one piece of advice for someone just starting in photography?
Keep going! Express yourself!
9. How do you see technology, like AI, influencing the future of photography and your own approach?
I'm a realistic photographer; therefore, I do not like AI or connect to it as much.
