Photographer's Profile

I’m Navid Atrvash, an architectural photographer and Visual Artist with a background in architecture. After earning my master’s degree from the University of Tehran and working in the field for several years, I shifted my focus to photography—a medium I’ve been exploring since I was 18. My understanding of space, light, and design allows me to create images that reflect not just the form of architecture, but the story and intention behind it. In my work, I aim to move beyond documentation. I’m interested in capturing how a space feels and functions, and how architecture interacts with its users and surroundings. This perspective, shaped by both my architectural training and visual storytelling, helps me connect deeply with the projects and people I collaborate with. Alongside my commissioned work, I pursue personal projects like Braided Photos, a conceptual series exploring perception, repetition, and the boundary between abstraction and realism. I see my practice as a bridge between structure and emotion—precision and poetry.
