Photographer's Profile
Israel
My name is Orna Naor, a street and documentary photographer from Tel Aviv. In my work I focus on human moments and gestures, on touch, looks and human interactions. I shot around the world; Everywhere I tried to show the faces of people, wherever they are; Behind different ceremonies, in different cultures, in everyday life and on holidays - human faces are revealed. At the same time as street photography, I focused in recent years on documentary series photography. Since 2017, I'm documenting the protests against the government; from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, and the recent war activities. The "Women of the Sea" project, whose documentation shows the possibility of living together, at sea, in peace.. The "I'm just a child" project is designed to rehumanize the "enemy", the Palestinian child. The "Larger Than Life" project, which has been documenting for years various types of events related to children with cancer; The "Transparent" project, the homeless of Tel Aviv and more. In all these projects, my goal is one - to return humanity to humanity. And if one picture touches one person - I'm already out of business. My works are shown in exhibitions in Israel and around the world (Local Witness, Tel Aviv Sea, Israel Photography Festival, Miami Street Festival, Streets Sans Frontieres, London Street Festival, EinZweiBlicke and others) and were published in a variety of magazines and newspapers ("Haaretz" blog, L'Arch Magazine, lens Magazine 50 shades of black and others).
