Photographer's Profile

Brendan Byrne

Brendan Byrne Photography, Australia

Brendan Byrne is a Melbourne based commercial photographer, dual Australian-American citizen, and a lifelong pursuer of the extraordinary. Born in Australia, Brendan spent thirteen years in the United States, first as an actor in New York City, then as a photographer working across the American West. In search of the quiet dignity of people who have given their lives to the land. It was there that his photographic voice took shape: images that sit at the intersection of heritage, character, and place. Since returning to Australia he has been turning that same eye toward his home country; its landscapes, its people, and the stories that carry the weight of home. His work has taken him further afield. To the high Arctic in pursuit of polar bears. To Antarctica. Across every continent and every state in the US.
