Michelangelo revealed his sculpture David to the public in 1504. It was placed in a public square for everyone to see, but later moved inside the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence. Standing at 17ft in height people are still mesmerized by the scale of the piece today. However, if we take a closer look, we can see the true details and lifelike elements that make it so divine.
