There is a moment in Rome, just before the city fully wakes, when time itself feels suspended. The streets, usually alive with motion and voices, stand still beneath a sky slowly catching fire. In that fragile span between night and day, the marble, stone, and brick crafted by human hands over centuries seem to drink in the light and glow from within. This series captures that moment in the heart of Rome, as the sun rises and bathes the city in a gentle yet commanding orange hue. It is a union of forces, the quiet power of nature casting its colors upon the enduring creations of humanity. Each image was composed to highlight this dialogue, where the lines of buildings and roads frame the shifting sky, and where shadow and light speak in equal measure. I have always been drawn to the point where human creativity and natural beauty meet, where one elevates the other without overpowering it. In Rome, that meeting place is everywhere in the golden reflection on a worn façade, in the soft illumination of an empty piazza, in the warmth that seeps into centuries-old streets as the day begins. Through these photographs, my vision is to share not just what I saw, but what I felt: the awe of standing before a scene shaped equally by the artistry of nature and the ambition of humankind. The orange glow is not merely a color, it is the city breathing in a new day, and exhaling centuries of stories into the morning air.
