Photographer's Profile
JAN STUDIO, Japan
Itsuki Serikawa is a Japanese photographer based in Hyogo, Japan. His work explores the boundary between reality, memory, and visual abstraction, often transforming familiar scenes into quiet, symbolic images. Coming from a background in competitive sport, including national-level swimming and international powerlifting, Serikawa brings a strong sense of discipline, endurance, and physical perception to his photographic practice. His images are shaped by persistence, observation, and a desire to reveal the unseen tension within ordinary landscapes and structures. His fine art series Conjure investigates how light, shadow, texture, and form can create a sense of presence beyond the visible subject itself. In 2026, Conjure received Gold in Fine Art / Conceptual and Honorable Mention in Fine Art / Minimalism at the London Photography Awards Professional category. Through photography, Serikawa seeks to create images that feel less like documentation and more like encountersāvisual spaces where silence, structure, and emotion coexist.
