Originally from the north west of England, we emigrated to New Zealand in 2002. My photographic journey began here in 2013 and I now hold Licentiate, Associate and Fellowship Honours Distinctions of the Photographic Society of New Zealand, whilst my work has been awarded on both the national and international stages. Based in the foothills of the Southern Alps of New Zealand’s South Island, my inspiration for photography comes from the natural world in all its manifestations. Using a combination of abstract, impressionist and realist techniques, I seek to produce a representation of our world that I hope may help people begin to see that even the most mundane subject matter can be both fascinating and beautiful.
